but...How the talent is managed with respect to the operations... There are principles and techniques which any one can follow and achieve the goal, where is the knowledge people involvement!!!
Presentation was good ,and it s sure implementing operation concept will improve HR value chain..
but still now this well known techniques was not a part of Talent Strategy ,Work force planning as a part of first principlemany companies like Toyota ,Sony do not have talent pool best class company should have 9 levels of workforce planning. and this article gives the details of talent on demand framework which is driven by markets and operation based tools better suited to challanges of uncertanity. This gives employers a way to manage their talent needs and recoup investments in development,a way to balance the interests.
presentation was good, jairaman shared the knowledge with examples that how the companies are using this term called "talent management" for development and retainment of the employees and how to match their personal interests and objects with company's goals.
Infosys is also having this type of program is called "Talent Equity" where they provide the measures that how to build a great workplace so they can improve the productivity.......!!!
in this presentation class was like a COP...which is very good sign of learning, so with a thankx i will say best to sharing knowledge....
Well Jayaraman I personally feel that operation is your coconut tree and the way u relate any subject with operation is worth commendable. your presentation on talent management for twenty first century was really informative and the examples cited made the concept clear but 1 disadvantage, in your presentation there was lack of conclusion. so that created a gap between two presentation of yours. overall i will rate u 8 out of 10
good presentation with lot of examples
nice presentation with lots of examples but what could be the alternatives.........
the presentattion was good but finally it should be implemented in practical life
presentations are good but why don't we implement it on our life. such as since last 6 month we are studying about knowledge worker and knowledge management but why didn't implement..
@ jayraman. As usual yout this presentation is also undoubtedly good. but why we students don't share our knowledge. why we are not able to share our knowledge and make the liv examples of it.
Churchill view s correct, but to some extent Knowledge transfer s happening in my hostel and in dining hall where i will share my knowledge with juniors
